The Spa at Sandy Lane introduces two new innovative treatments

(St. James, Barbados - Sandy Lane, the Caribbean's most exclusive resort, is introducing two new spa treatments at its 47,000-square-foot Spa at Sandy Lane. Under the guidance and creative excellence of new Spa Director, Sharon Codner, The Spa at Sandy Lane has introduced the Dr.Hauschka Holistic Body Treatment and the Sandy Lane Spray Tanning Treatment.

The 90-minute Dr.Hauschka Holistic Body Treatment promotes deep relaxation while restoring inner balance and well being. Central to this therapy is lymph stimulation. Unlike deep tissue massage, the subtle touch of lymph stimulation has a sensitive and attentive quality-gentle, yet profound. Rhythmic breathing and stroking awaken and balance the body's natural rhythms. The resulting effects promote healthy respiration, circulation and internal cleansing so that participants emerge feeling deeply nurtured and restored.

The 45-minute Sandy Lane Spray Tanning Treatment starts with gentle skin exfoliation using natural ingredients including white tea, grape seed extract and walnut shells to remove flaky skin and impurities from the entire body. After showering, an application of the tanning formula, rich in a rare blend of white tea and grape seed, is sprayed onto the body in specific movements to ensure an even coverage of the tanning formulation. A rich golden tan will appear in four hours and will last for up to seven days.

The two treatments have been introduced by Sandy Lane's new Spa Director, Sharon Codner. In her position, Sharon will continue to introduce new spa services and treatments for guests of the resort as well as oversee Sandy Lane's team of dedicated aestheticians and spa technicians. As a well-traveled professional, Ms. Codner has incorporated treatments and services from all over the world into her work. Her specialty is finding local ingredients and traditions of the resort's location and integrating them into the treatments and products presented to guests. Ms. Codner is in the process of implementing native Bajan treatments as part of the high-end luxury spa services that are offered at Sandy Lane.
